Teladris Vanathil is a man out of time. But that’s okay, he can always make more if he needs it. A self-styled “chronomancer”, Teladris hails from an alternate timeline from the rest of the God Bearers. Having survived a mysterious disaster toward which he believes his new (old?) friends are now hurtling, and which he refuses to describe in any detail lest he doom them to repeat it, he has vowed to go back in time to save Hyfaer from its dark fate.
Countless years spent mastering the art of time-travel and an untold number of failed attempts to correct the past have left Teladris’s mind more than a bit addled. Rather than becoming a gibbering madman or a cynical fatalist, however, he remains unflappably cheerful. Perhaps it’s because he knows that if he fails to save the world again, there’s always next time. It does mean that he often confuses people and events with versions of themselves from other timelines, so his ramblings range from prophetic to nonsensical. His travels have also forced him to adapt to many different situations, augmenting his powerful magic with an uncanny ability to shift personas at a moment’s notice.
An otherwise unremarkable-looking high-elf, Teladris is covered with odd tattoos: hundreds of individual dots arranged in artful patterns. He has long blond hair going gray at the temples, which, along with crows’ feet around his light blue eyes, hints at his true age, though his mercurial and impetuous nature often masks it.
